The Old Mandeville Historic Association's annual Mother's Day Home Tour returns on May 12, 2024, 2-5 p.m., with the theme of Spring Mix: Creole to Mid-Century Modern. The event is sponsored by Niche Modern Home.

In addition to the historic Jean Baptiste Lang House located at 605 Carroll Street, six additional private Old Mandeville homes will open their doors to the public. Home locations are announced approximately two weeks prior to the event.

Each year has been a resounding success both as the premier fundraiser for OMHA and as a Mother's Day outing in Old Mandeville. Tour proceeds are a critical source of support for the c. 1850 Jean Baptiste Lang House at 605 Carroll Street, which operates as a historic house museum offering tours, an event space, research materials and a gift shop. Additionally, tour proceeds allow OMHA to further efforts to preserve and promote the history and cultural heritage of Old Mandeville through publications, including the Jean Baptiste Lang House brochure, Old Mandeville Historic Site Plaque Locations: 1834-1942, and the Old Mandeville Street Strolls walking tour guides. Proceeds also support a summer children's history camp, lectures on topics of interest and periodic field trips to explore the rich cultural heritage of Louisiana and the Gulf South.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students, and advance tickets are available April 1-May 11 at www.oldmandevillehistoricassociation.org or by visiting the Lang House in person during open hours (cash or check only).
