Come meet Northshore chefs, learn more about St. Tammany Parish and register for a gift basket of Northshore goodies at the New Orleans Home and Garden Show going on now through Sunday (March 14) at the Louisiana Superdome. Reps from the St. Tammany Parish Tourist Commission will be at Booth 1150 -- so come see us! The largest consumer home show in the southeastern US, the event this year also features Louisiana Cookin’ Magazine’s Culinary Central. You can see demonstrations by 14 of the region’s best chefs, including celeb chef John Besh (pictured) of La Provence in Lacombe, David and Torre Solazzo of Ristorante Del Porto (semifinalists for the prestigious James Beard Award for Best Chef: South); and Keith and Nealy Frentz, among this year’s Louisiana Cookin’ Chefs to Watch, from LOLA.
Interested in more than food? Well, okay, the show’s got hundreds of exhibitors from around the region sharing thousands of ideas for home remodeling, decorating and landscaping. Special features include a gardening school, ‘green’ zone, Ask-A-Builder sessions, the Pet Experience; and a liquidation sale of home products.
Admission is $9 at the door; children 12 and under get in free.
Hope we see you there!
