| Summer makes a splash at Land-O-Pines Have old-timey fun at family campground in Covington  If you're looking for an old-fashioned spot to play in the water, head for Land-O-Pines in Covington. A summer favorite for decades, this family campground offers a water slide, two pools and sandy beach frontage along the shallow Simalusa river. The tree-shaded park offers RV campsites and rental units if you want to overnight but day-use passes are available too. Other activities include mini golf, game room, and visits to the resident goat family. There's a snowball stand and country store on the grounds, too. LOP will be hosting its annual Battle of the Bands event Sept. 5. |
