A fun, educational, family experience, the 10th annual Abita Springs EarthFest, will be held Saturday, March 24th from noon to 4pm.
The free festival will feature live music, green vendors and info, great food, kids' activities, and a homemade and homegrown marketplace. Produced by Abita Springs Friends of the Park, the group will be giving away sapling trees to festival guests.
Come dressed as a flower, bee, butterfly, or your favorite pollinator, and you can walk, bike or scoot your way behind the Abita Queen Bees, who will lead a parade around the loop trail at 1pm.
Instrumental in the installation of Abita's town playground, the trail that winds through the park and connects to the Tammany Trace, and other projects, Abita Springs Friends of the Park is a non-profit, citizen-run organization founded in 2007 that is dedicated to developing, funding, and implementing park and beautification projects in and around Abita Springs.
