The Lake Pontchartrain Maritime Museum in Madisonville, LA presents the Anchor Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Beau Chene Country Club.
Admission is $500 per team (4 persons) and includes cart and green fees, goody bags and food and drinks in the tented refreshment area.
The Anchor Classic Golf Tournament is a springtime fundraising event for Madisonville's annual fall event, the Wooden Boat Festival, a two-day celebration of Louisiana's maritime culture that attracts hundreds of wooden boat enthusiasts from across the U.S. each October. The tournament will take place at Beau Chene Country Club, 602 N. Beau Chene Dr., Mandeville, and begins at Noon with a shotgun start. Beau Chene's Oak course is an 18-hole regulation-length, private course with well-kept greens and fairways. Opened in 1975, the course features 6,725 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.1 and has a slope rating of 128 on Bermuda grass.
