The Lake Pontchartrain Maritime Museum in Madisonville, LA presents the Anchor Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Carter Plantation in Springfield, LA. The event moves from its old home at Beau Chene Country Club.
Admission is $125 per player and $500 per team (4-person scramble). Admission includes cart and green fees, goody bags and food & beverages in the tented refreshment area. Contests for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Dice Roll, Beat the Pro, and Hole-In-One. Registration begins at 11am, tee-off is 12:30pm.
The Anchor Classic Golf Tournament is a springtime fundraising event for Madisonville's annual fun family event, the Wooden Boat Festival, a two-day celebration of Louisiana's maritime culture that attracts hundreds of wooden boat enthusiasts from across the U.S. each October. Formerly held at Beau Chene Country Club in Mandeville, the tournament moves this year to Carter Plantation, 23475 Carter Trace, Springfield, LA 70462, in Livingston Parish.
