Art galleries, restaurants, retailers and more showcase their summer best before tradition closes out the "wearing of white" that for the fashion-conscious only happens during the spring and summer months, ending with Labor Day. Many shops will have specials, sales, or promotions throughout the evening. Live music, art openings, great food, libations, and more!
Proceeds from some activities benefit the Covington Public Art Fund. At 5:30pm, at the St. Tammany Art Association, 320 N. Columbia St., the organization's 53rd national juried summer show closes with a gallery talk in the Miriam Barranger Gallery with some of the winning artists, and opens a new members show in the Dorothy Severson and Trudy Williamson Galleries.
Come out for an elegant close to the summer season with a shop and stroll. Free off-street parking and in oxlots behind buildings.
