Traditional jazz and blues dominate the fall concert series at the historic Dew Drop Social & Benevolent Jazz Hall in Old Mandeville, starting September 21, 2018 and continuing through December 14. The ambitious lineup includes seven evening performances, featuring blues, jazz and gospel among other local, celebrated genres.
Produced by the non-profit Friends of the Dew Drop, most shows will be on Friday nights from 6:30 to 9:00 pm with two exceptions: the second concert in the season will be Saturday, October 6, and Gospel Night, on October 19th, begins at 6pm.
Admission for each concert is $10 at the door. Friends of the Dew Drop members will maintain a beverage center for a nominal fee and offer souvenir Dew Drop merchandise. The members of the First Free Mission Baptist Church next door will offer hearty, home-cooked meals for a nominal fee.
