In the Press Box with the Sports Legends

The Abita Springs Trailhead Museum, in cooperation with the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, hosts “Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America,” a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program. In conjunction with the exhibit, the Museum presents a panel discussion with notable sports legends from the Abita Springs area and surrounding communities.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Abita Springs Middle School Gymnasium. Doors open at 9:30 am and the discussion concludes at 12 Noon.

“Hometown Teams” will be on view November 19, 2016 through January 1, 2017.
