On Sunday, November 11, 18 community leaders will achieve celebrity chef status as they partner with some of the best local restaurants to compete for the title of Judge's Choice and People's Choice/Most Money Raised for Hope House Children's Advocacy Center.
Men Who Cook! is an annual fundraiser for Hope House,an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse in our community. You purchase "tip tickets" and award them to your favorite cook/restaurant team.
To complement the tastings from the competitive cook-off, guests will enjoy complimentary wine, beer, daiquiris, soft drinks, and desserts from the bakery competition! Rock out to Four Unplugged, record the fun night at the onsite photo booth, and enter the raffle for several extraordinary prizes, including a painting by renowned local artist Marcia Holmes, butchered beef steer, and more. Winning tickets will be pulled at the event; tickets go on sale in August.
The venue for Men Who Cook! adds to the excitement. It will be held on the top level of the St. Tammany Parish Justice Center parking garage in Covington so that attendees can enjoy the beauty of the early evening from their lofty perch.
Advance purchase tickets are $70 per individual or $125 per couple; admission at the door will be $80 per individual and $160 per couple. Purchase in advance by visiting www.cachopehouse.org or by texting MWC to 71777. Advance sales begin in September.
