Mining Old Mandeville: Old Mandeville Historial Inventory Day

The public is invited to help make Old Mandeville history by collecting their photos, documents, artifacts and archives and bringing them to Mining Old Mandeville Historical Inventory Day, 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 23 at the Mandeville Trailhead Depot, 675 Lafitte St.

The City of Mandeville is updating its inventory and is in search of historical assets for preservation. Up to five items can be brought in during Inventory Day to be scanned, recorded or documented.
The Old Mandeville Historic Association will help conduct research and catalog the inventory. A copy can later be provided on compact disc for the owner's personal records.

There is no charge to bring in items related to the history of Old Mandeville for preservation, and all items remain with the owner. All documentation will be preserved by the City of Mandeville.

There will be drop-in, as well as appointments for a limited amount of documentary recording. The digital archiving will be conducted in cooperation with instructors from the Pontchartrain Film Festival, a project of the Olde Towne Arts Center's Digital Arts program.
