The City of Covington presents singer, comedian and impressionist Scott Record, in the first of the 2018 cultural season at Fuhrmann Auditorium in the Greater Covington Center.

Scott Record is way more than a very funny guy, he’s the consummate entertainer, bringing to the stage a wide range of entertainment that includes comedy and funny musical selections ranging from Sinatra to current hits. A commercial voiceover recording artist, Scott possesses an uncanny ability to portray an array of unique character voices, keeping him busy as a character actor who represents a wide variety of nationally recognized products. He has released his first CD featuring humorous contributions from his live performance show, including his signature piece, “New York, New York” which he sings with “skips” in the record. Scott moved to New York in 1978 and first worked as a bouncer/bartender in a disco directly across the street from Dangerfield’s, the landmark nightclub named after world-renowned comedian Rodney Dangerfield. The longest running comedy club in the world, Dangerfield's was as still is known for cultivating a supportive environment for standup comics, helping to launch the careers of such talents as Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Tim Allen, Jim Carrey, Andrew "Dice" Clay and many more. After watching the celebrity names revolve weekly on the marquee of that establishment, Scott decided to test his talents on a Monday night at Dangerfield’s. Rodney immediately liked Scott, and took him on the road where he successfully worked for three years as his opening act.

Since then, Scott has worked with and opened for many superstars, including: Ann Margaret, Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Julio Iglesias, Perry Como, Tony Bennett, The Gatlin Brothers, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Huey Lewis and the News, Celine Dion, Cher, Clint Black and many more.  Scott’s headlining status has been enjoyed at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, CA and other premium venues throughout the United States. Scott also performs in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Atlantic City, where he was voted the Best Variety Act of the Year. Scott appeared with Harry Connick, Jr. for the Kraft LPGA Championship Gala, and also performed his full show for the Kraft/NaBisCo 35th Anniversary show at the Palm Springs Air Museum to four standing ovations. Scott co-headlined with Norm Crosby for ACT for MS, a fundraiser to benefit those afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis, raising over a million dollars! Scott headlines The Improv in Lake Tahoe in April and the Improv Las Vegas in July.
