Champagne Beverage, Inc. and the Boys & Girl's Club of Covington present the 2nd annual "OXtoberfest" Beerfest in historic downtown Covington, Louisiana.
Love beer and community? On October 6th, come to the Covington Trailhead for the German classic with a Covington twist--so named as a whimsical play on Covington's unofficial mascot, the ox, and the stable lots they once frequented.*
The event will feature local and national breweries (to be announced on the website), live music and food available for purchase. Sampling glass and beer samples are included in ticket price. Patrons are invited to dress in traditional German garb or just come out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
Tickets are $30 in advance via website, $35 at the gate, unless sold out. Online sales end October 5.
Must be 21 to drink beer, valid ID required.
All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Covington. The core mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs provide evidence-based curriculum and structured afterschool enrichment activities design to ensure that youth grow & excel during the school year.
This event is presented by Champagne Beverage, Inc., Dixieland Forest Corp., Krewe Marketing and The Beer Drinker's Guide to God.
*Now used for free public parking and special events, small, paved lots were once used by traders to park oxen-drawn wagons as they bought and sold goods on the trade route that included the town's Bogue Falaya River port, now known simply as the Columbia Street Landing.
