The 7th annual Pontchartrain Film Festival will be held Nov. 2-3, 2018 at the Mandeville Trailhead Depot Museum, 675 Lafitte Street. It is is hosted by the City of Mandeville.
The Pontchartrain Film Festival provides opportunities to see some of the best in Louisiana-made animated, narrative, documentary and experimental films. The public is invited to meet filmmakers and people working in the industry while enjoying popcorn and movies for two days on the north shore.
Admission is $5 for the Friday night feature, and one $5 admission will get viewers into any of the screenings on Saturday. The festival opens with a feature at 7 p.m. Friday Nov. 2 at the Mandeville Trailhead. Tickets are $5 and available in advance at www.pontchartrainfilmfestival.com/tickets and at the door, as space is available.
Also, Pontchartrain Film Festival partners with Ozone Songwriter Festival to screen a tribute to Allen Toussaint on opening night, Friday, Oct. 19, as part of PFF's Fall Film Tour leading up to the November festival (three films are planned, beginning in late August or September).
