Pontchartrain Vineyards' Tasting Room is open year-round to the public for tastings of its wines. Tasting Room hours for most of the year are are Wednesday - Sunday 12 Noon to 4pm. Closed for major holidays.
Summer hours: open Fridays and Saturdays 12-4 pm August 1-30, 2017; open Friday, Sept. 1 through Sunday, Sept. 3, closed on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 4).
From East/West (Baton Rouge, Hammond, Slidell)
1 On I-12: take exit 63-B north toward Covington, US-190 West. Continue north toward Covington.
2 Just past the Covington welcome sign, US-190 forks to US-190 Business, which leads to LA-21/Boston Street in downtown Covington, and US-190/Collins Blvd., which is the bridge that continues straight.
3 Veer right to take US-190 BUS and keep to the far right lane. Continue to the junction of US-190 BUS and LA-21. Veer right to get on LA-21, and get immediately into the left hand-lane to follow LA-21 North toward Bogalusa. Stay on LA-21 for approximately 4 miles to LA-1082. Turn left onto LA-1082 / Old Military Road and continue for 6.5 miles. The Winery entrance is on the right. Please continue slowly, as the entrance is narrow.
From New Orleans:
From Causeway Blvd. in Metairie, travel north onto Lake Pontchartrain Causeway to Mandeville (about 24 miles). Continue straight to stay on US-190 toward Covington. Continue directions above.
