Plein air artist Peg Usner will be exhibiting in the Miriam Barranger Gallery September 9-30, 2017. An opening reception will be held September 9, 6-9pm.
Peg Usner has an inherent interest in plein air painting. Her series of oil paintings captures the essence of her world. Peg says, “Whether that is a neighborhood street with the sounds of vehicles, conversations or a bicycle bell; or the fragrance of the magnolia tree in bloom, an egret taking flight and the warmth of the sun, it becomes part of the frame of my understanding of the subject I am painting. I am there. The bond that is formed and cannot be recreated in the studio, I know this place intimately.”
Peg Usner has been recognized with awards in various regional art competitions. Her paintings and photography are collected in various private and public collections. To learn more about Peg Usner and see images of her work, visit http://pegusner.com/.
