30 by Ninety Theatre presents "The Jeweler's Shop" by Pope John Paul II. Directed by Stephen Dale, this story is the most widely produced of the plays by Pope John Paul II since making its Off Broadway debut in 1994. This poetic drama explores the aspects of human existence expressed through love and marriage. Songs by Paul Cassanova of the group Please, sung by Stephen Dale, with acoustic guitar as accompaniment, project a youthful timeliness and hope.
The cast includes Sarah Chauppette and Barbara Arceneaux (Teresa), David Dawson (Andrew), John Carambat (Adam), Evette Randolph (Anna), Ken Richard (Stephen), Emily Margaret Stoehr (Monica), Chris Young (Christopher), and Stephen Dale (The Musician).
"The Jeweler's Shop" opens on Saturday, October 29 at 8 pm and continues its run on Sunday, October 30 at 2:30 pm with additional performances on November 4, 5, 11,12 at 8 pm and November 6 & 13 at 2:30 pm.
A special Final Dress Rehearsal benefiting St. Joseph's Abbey will be held on Thursday, October 28 with pre-show hors d'oeuvres and live music. Doors open at 7:00 pm, Curtain is at 8:00 pm.
