Mandeville High School Drama Club presents The Music Man, which follows fast-talking traveling salesman, “Professor” Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize–despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall. The show features well-known songs like “Seventy-six Trombones” and “Till There Was You."
The Music Man is presented by Mandeville High School and will be held at the school's auditorium at 1 Skipper Drive, Mandeville. Performances are 7pm to 9pm on March 23, 26 and 27. Tickets are $10 at the door.
