Since its formation in 1954, the Madisonville Garden Club has hosted an annual flower show featuring floral arrangements by its members. This year, the club presents its 64th annual show at the historic Otis House Museum at Fairview-Riverside State Park from Wednesday, April 25th through Saturday, April 28th.
The theme of this year's show is “This is the Life.” The show will feature large and small design floral arrangements displayed around the many rooms of Otis House and will also include horticulture specimens grown by the club's members.
The event includes a reception with refreshments from 1pm to 3 pm under the canopy of oaks in the front yard. The flower show will feature floral arrangements of all sizes throughout the house to be enjoyed as you take a guided tour to learn local history.
Presentations on the butterfly garden by the St. Tammany Master Gardeners will be ongoing through the afternoon. The Garden Clubs’ arrangements will remain on display through Saturday, April 28th, for visitors to enjoy as part of the Otis House guided tours.
