The opening of “The Summer Wind” exhibition featuring the work of Valerie Stangl Melançon, American Oil Painter, will be the night of June 16th from 6-9pm. This solo show in the main room of Three Rivers Gallery will feature a distinct selection of Melançon’s artwork. This will be one of the largest collections of Valerie Stangl Melançon’s paintings exhibited in a single gallery in years. “The Summer Wind” (see image), the title of one of the works on exhibit by Melançon, also happens to be one of the artist’s favorite songs performed by Sinatra. Recognizing this convergence of classic art forms, the Three Rivers Gallery will tip its hat to Ol’ Blue Eyes and theme the opening event (June16th) with some of his favorite h’ordeuvres and wine as his much loved tracks fill the air. The exhibit is being held in the heart of downtown Covington, Louisiana and is hosted by Three Rivers Gallery.
