Sips of the Season, Christmas Past Festival and Winter on the Water (WOW)
Friday, Dec. 12 – Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014
Two evenings of holiday celebrations

Mandeville, LA  70448

Local Phone: (985) 624-3144

Website: http://www.cityofmandeville.com

Start the weekend off with OMBA enjoying holiday spirits at your favorite Old Mandeville businesses. With 17 stops in all, including non-alcoholic holiday beverages at each stop for the kiddies, this event is not to be missed. The stroll takes place from 5-8pm on Friday. In a departure from past years, there is no designated order to the visits, and participating strollers are invited to enjoy them in any order, at leisure.

Strollers receive an official mug that is filled at each stop, along with a card listing businesses dispensing the holiday-themed beverages. The mug can be taken home as a souvenir. Participants include restaurants, bars and shops, all within walking distance of the Mandeville lakefront.

Purchase mugs in advance for $10 each, $9 each for multiples of two or three, and $8 each for four or more. If mugs are still available on the day of the event, they will be available for $15 each at three pre-sale locations: at Das Schulerhaus Gift Gallery & Christmas Boutique, K.Gee's Restaurant & Oyster Bar and Varsity Sports.

Strollers are invited to enjoy Christmas caroling by the Jane Austen Foundation of Louisiana, taking place at Old Rail Brewing Company, 639 Girod St.

Christmas Past will take place on the day after the stroll, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Girod St., Mandeville. The festival offers an old-time holiday theme, arts and crafts, food and beverage booths, bands, and strolling caroling groups.

On Saturday, the Annual Winter on the Water (WOW) at the Mandeville Lakefront begins with Santa’s parade at 4:00 on Lakeshore drive at the harbor and ends at the Gazebo. The event includes performances and lighting of the oaks by Mayor Don Villere. The event concludes with the annual boat parade. Remember to bring cameras for pictures with Santa!
