Gathering Venues

When you think of gathering, think of St Tammany.  Louisiana’s Northshore has everything you need to host a group outing. We’re centrally located between New Orleans, Baton Rouge and the Mississippi Gulf coast, making us the perfect destination!

Imagine your reunion at a state park with beautiful cabins on Lake Pontchartrain. Or, come together under a shady grove of ancient oaks or screened-in pavilion. Some of our campgrounds have water slides, fantastic fishing, winding nature trails, and plenty of green space and picnic tables.

We have a venue that’s right for you!

Mandeville

Fontainebleau State Park. The historic park offers 2,800 acres with beautiful cabins built over Lake Pontchartrain, nature trails, 3 group camps, a lodge, sandy beach and playground. Perfect for a family gathering.

Madisonville

Fairview Riverside State Park is located on the Tchefuncte River in Madisonville. There are numerous picnic tables scattered throughout the park and shaded by a canopy of huge oak trees, as well as a group pavilion, a playground, and comfort stations.

Covington

Land-O-Pines family campground is a wonderful spot for swimming, picnicking, or sunning on the beach. The playground hosts numerous activities and special events to keep visitors of all ages happy. Their motto: A place that’s easy to find and a feeling that’s impossible to forget.

Bogue Falaya Park and Pavilion is the site of many community events and features a large playground for the kids. The Bogue Falaya River threads through the park and there is a pavilion available for rent.

Slidell

Camp Salmen Nature Park is a nature park with interpretive trails, pavilion, picnic tables, and water access to Bayou Liberty. The historic site was originally part of Spanish land grants, later hosted a trading post and was the site for ferry crossing.
