Janet's Corner Thrift Store is a thrift and consignment store housed inside the first floor of the Community Christian Concern & Miramon Center. Janet's carries clothing for men, women and children. Includes shoes and accessories, furniture, household items, working appliances, books and other gently used items donated by the local community. The store employs residents of the men's transitional housing program. It is open to the public for shopping Monday-Thursday, 10am to 4pm, and on Fridays from 10am to 2pm. ABOUT Community Christian Concern (CCC) helps those individuals with true needs—urgent problems requiring immediate, short-term solutions. Trained counselors discuss a request for assistance with each client and make an assessment of need. Emergency assistance can take the form of: food, clothing, shelter, prescription assistance, emergency travel, and personal items. It also serves the homeless population in the best attempts to help them in meeting their basic needs. The Miramon Center is a facility that can house up to 12 men in the transitional men's housing program, which allows men to save their earnings and transition into permanent housing with a life of self-sufficiency and independence. Residents are sponsored by local churches and organizations.
