Kenney Seafood is both seafood market and restaurant and offers an outstanding seafood selection in terms of price and quality. The team strives to provide top-tier seafood products and the freshest catch, purchasing shrimp and seafood sourced directly from an array of fishing and shrimping businesses who operate everything from small day-skiffs to large vessels, many of which are family-owned.

Prefer to eat and not cook? If you're craving some good ol' Louisiana-style seafood, Kenney's Po-Boy Shop has got you covered, offering local favorites made fresh to order and with daily specials. Choose from among seafood platters, po-boys served on the renowned Leidenheimer French bread, oysters on the half shell and boiled seafood by the pound--the kitchen boils crawfish in 50-pound pots during the season, which means it’s churning out fresh, hot batches every half-hour to hour.

Founded in 1972 as a fishing operation by Robert Kenney, captain of an 80-foot steel hull shrimp boat, the market opened in Slidell in 1989 and gradually expanded to include a restaurant and become one of Slidell's most popular destinations. Kenney’s son-in-law, Brian Cappy, now runs the retail operation. Open every day, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closing at 5 p.m. on Sundays.
