**ST. TAMMANY FISHING PIER IS CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION.**
The St. Tammany Parish Fishing Pier is closed due to extensive damage sustained during Hurricane Ida, even as it had been undergoing an expansion project to include development of the western span section of the pier, shelter structures, cleaning stations and fishing platforms, as well as the installation of guardrails and exterior lighting. A timeline for repairs is not currently available.

When the Pier Re-opens...
Spend a day off with the family making memories. Go solo and commune with nature, and bring home dinner. Pier fishing is easy at the St. Tammany Parish Fishing Pier. Catch redfish, spotted trout, sheepshead, flounder, drum, Atlantic croaker, blue crab and more, and clean them on the spot.

When the pier re-opens, operating hours should be 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., March to October.

Staffed by Parish Pier Patrol during operating hours, the St. Tammany Parish Fishing Pier has everything you need to hang a hook for a few hours and catch your limit, including fish cleaning tables, vending machines, restrooms and covered gazebos to get out of the sun. You'll need to bring a pole and a box to hold your catch, and you must have a valid fishing license, too.*
