St. Tammany Parish, the Louisiana Northshore, sustained both wind and water damage from Hurricane Ida on August 29, 2021. Currently, many Parish businesses and attractions are open, but many others are undergoing repair, and debris cleanup is ongoing. Hotel capacity is very limited. Visitors are encouraged to seek other travel destinations via LouisianaTravel.com and if you're in St. Tammany Parish, call before you go.
