Hurricane Ida Update

St. Tammany Parish, the Louisiana Northshore, sustained both wind and water damage from Hurricane Ida on August 29, 2021. Immediately after the storm, many Parish businesses and residences were without power, water, phone, battling major limits on fuel, and other basic services. Through October 1, hotel availability is extremely limited. As of 9/12/2021, many restaurants and attractions have reopened, though some are facing internet connectivity issues and cash may be the preferred method of payment. Other businesses sustained structural damages and may take longer to reopen. Visitors are suggested to visit LouisianaTravel.com to consider alternate travel destinations in Louisiana.
