Tourist-related Organizations and Governmental Agencies May Apply

The St. Tammany Parish Tourist Commission will accept interest for space reservations for the Cooperative Advertising Program beginning Thursday, November 1, 2012. Interested organizations will be allowed to submit intent through 4:30 PM Monday, November 12, 2012.

Organizations will be selected on a first-come basis. The program is open to tourism-related non-profit organizations and governmental agencies at a cost of $2,000. Tourism-related for-profit businesses will be given the opportunity to buy in at $5,000, if additional space is available. To reserve space, email or call Christina Cooper at Christina@LouisianaNorthshore.com / 985-892-0520 by 4:30 PM by November 12. No reservations will be accepted by contacting other Tourist Commission staff members. Only one ad space is available per organization. Up to eight applicants will be allowed to participate.

As part of the Cooperative Advertising Program, the Tourist Commission will reserve advertising space in publications. Each selected publication will feature St. Tammany Parish non-profit and/or governmental agency tourism partners adjacent to a St. Tammany Parish advertisement. The Tourist Commission will be paying 83% of the fees associated with the ad as a service to its tourism partners.

The St. Tammany Tourist Commission will be running print ads, web banner ads and sending eblasts using the following media outlets: Texas Monthly, Southern Living, and AAA Southern Traveler. Additional media outlets may also be considered.

Total cost is $2,000 for each participating non-profit partner or governmental agency. If space is still available after November 12, for-profit tourism partners will be allowed to participate at a cost of $5,000 each on a first-come basis.

All advertisements will be produced by the Tourist Commission. The deadline to submit materials for the ads is November 14, 2012. Materials required include one high-resolution photo, 25 words of copy, logo and a dedicated website domain.
