The 25th annual Slidell Heritage Festival returns this summer to Heritage Park on Saturday, July 2, 2022. This  celebration of America's birthday features an evening of live music, great food and fireworks. Gates open at 4 p.m., live music begins at 7 p.m. (lineup announced as the event nears) and fireworks start at dusk, about 9 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site, and beverages will be available for purchase. Festival organizers are tentatively planning the return of the children's village, arts and crafts booths and specialty vendors.

Admission is free, and sponsors of the event can enjoy a VIP seating area. Though the event is free, guests are encouraged to donate money, as the non-profit event benefits local charities.

Presented by the Rotary Clubs of Slidell, in conjunction with the City of Slidell, the festival was established as a fundraising benefit, and over the past 25 years, more than $900,000 has been raised for the community. This year's recipients will be the Slidell Police Association, Community Christian Concern (food bank, thrift store and transitional housing services), the Good Samaritan Ministry, the Slidell Church Basketball League and the Boy Scouts of America, Cypress District.
