A Taste of Covington 5-Day Food, Wine, Music & Art Festival, April 10-14, 2019, is an annual event revolving around Covington's stellar restaurants, arts-loving culture and the St. Tammany Art Association's "Spring for Art" in Historic Downtown Covington, Louisiana. Proceeds benefit advertising and marketing for local businesses through the non-profits Covington Business Association and St. Tammany Art Association and others throughout the year.

Following are this year's events, locatiions and participating restaurants, including ticket information:

Wednesday and Thursday, April 10-11
6:30pm Cocktail Hour, 7:00pm Seatings
Vintner's Dinners
Admission: $90, Inclusive.
Wednesday: Del Porto Ristorante, Gallagher's Grill, Oxlot 9
Thursday: Annadele's Plantation Restaurant, Barrel Wine Bar, Seiler Bar

All-inclusive dinners of four or more courses with wine pairings. Reservations are required, and seating is limited at each location. Follow restaurant links for menus, wine pairings, and reservation options.

Friday, April 12
7:00pm - 9:00pm: The Grand Tasting
at Bogue Falaya Hall, 317 N. Jefferson Ave.
Admission: $55. Ages 21+
Sample over 70 wines and enjoy live music under two tents attached to the store's wine warehouse, which holds the largest selection of wines in the south. Live music by New Suit. Must be 21 to attend.
Includes logo wine glass, wine tasting, cheeses and light fare. Limited to 375 tickets; sales end April 12.

Saturday, April 13
3:00pm - 5:00pm: Festa del Vino
at St. Tammany Art Association, 320 N. Columbia St.
Admission: $65. Ages 21+
Fine Wine-Tasting. $65 per ticket includes logo wine glass, premium wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. Live swing jazz music by Christy & the Rascals. Must be 21 to attend. Sponsored by Mayor Mike Cooper. 
Includes logo wine glass, premium wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. Limited to 100 tickets, sold online only; sales end April 13.

5:15pm - 6:15pm: Craft Coffee & Ice Cream Tasting
Hoo Doo Ice Cream, 405 N. Columbia St.
Admission: $25. Ages 16+
A unique coffee and ice cream experience presented by Campbell's Coffee and Hoo Doo Ice Cream. A coffee roasting demonstration and tasting of four fresh-roasted specialty coffees and two ice cream treats made with coffee. Includes same-night discounts on coffees, ice cream and merchandise, and a discount card for future visits. Tasting begins with a palate-cleansing cascara (coffee fruit) sorbet folllowed by single origin arabicas and finish with an affogato, Campbell's Coffee's house espresso over Hoo Doo Ice Cream's vanilla ice cream in a souvenir cup.
Limited to 40 tickets, sold online only. Tickets are non-refundable. Ages16 years or older please; children will have an opportunity to have some ice cream at the HooDoo stand just outside the doors and again inside at the conlcusion of this event.

6:00pm-9:00pm: Spring for Art
Historic St. John District, Downtown Covington
Admission: Free. All Ages.
St. Tammany Art Association (STAA) partners with downtown Covington businesses to present this annual sprintime celebration of the arts. Features art gallery openings, live music, shopping events, dance performances and other entertainments at multiple locations, indoors and out. Wine and light refreshments available at participating locaitons. Maps available at STAA.

Sunday, April 14
Champagne Jazz Brunch
Annadeles Plantation Restaurant, 71518 Chestnut St., Covington
$50. Ages 21+
Brunch with live jazz music by Steppin' Up. By reservation only. One seating only at 11:30am; Champagne and first course begins promptly at 11:30am. Must be at least 21 to attend.

All events require tickets except for the free street festival, Spring for Art. Events have sold out each year, so be sure to purchase or reserve early. Details on participating restaurants and all events are available at www.aTasteofCovington.com.

The Covington Business Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing and advancing the interest of local businesses in Historic Downtown Covington.
