St. Tammany's own Amateur Pro Football League (APDFL) home team, the Bayou Lacombe Cardinals, will take on the Panhandle Crusaders on Saturday, April 29. The game takes place at Lakeshore High School's Titan Coliseum, 26301 LA-1088, just north of Mandeville, with kick-off at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for ages 13 and up, free for ages 12 and under. Tickets available on EventBrite. Concessions will be available for purchase.
An all-adult, full contact minor league football organization, the Bayou Lacombe Cardinals have distinguished themselves as top contenders as well as top citizens in the nation of Amateur Pro Football League players. In 2021, APDFL awarded the Cardinals with the Humanitarian Organization of the Year award. They were also the #1 Seed in the APDFL Western Conference and ranked 19th in the country.

Founded in 2016, the Bayou Lacombe Cardinals began with the mission to build something positive and family friendly in St. Tammany Parish with a mission to provide guidance and opportunities for adult athletes while providing quality entertainment and community outreach for Lacombe, Louisiana and surrounding areas. The Amateur Pro Football League (APDFL) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion and advancement of adult minor league football teams throughout the south eastern states. It is comprised primarily of young men between the ages of 18 and 30 looking to obtain a second chance of reaching their college and/or professional football dreams.
