Big Deal Burlesque, New Orleans' own touring burlesque show, returns to Wharton's in Covington on Saturday, July 27 for its monthly showcase of cabaret performances.The July performance is a a tribute to the Nite Tripper himself, Dr. John, and a celebration of the troupe's 8th anniversary.
The show is comprised of a rotational all-star cast of dancers, aerialists, musicians, drag artists and sideshow acts. The show starts at 10pm, admission is $8 at the door. Ages 18+ only.
Producer Roxie le Rouge is the creator of New Orleans' original touring Burlesque and Variety show, Big Deal Burlesque, which has been touring the Gulf Coast for seven years. Roxie le Rouge has had an important role in the resurrection of burlesque in New Orleans as well as all along the Gulf Coast, having contributed 11+ years in the community. A BFA in dance, attention to detail, and costumes that are truly labors of love all make this lady a powerhouse. Roxie is a nationally-recognized name and often lovingly referred to as "The Best Booty in the Big Easy!"
