Maritime Museum Louisiana presents the 3rd annual Maritime Music & Art Festival, an event to benefit the museum, on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Madisonville Ball Park, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The festival features live music and includes food trucks and vendor booths by artists from across the region.
The Brass Hearts Brass Band kicks things off at 10 a.m., followed by The Blenderz at noon. Few Blue takes the stage at 2 p.m., followed by the Chase Tyler Band, 4-6 p.m., Todd O'Neill, 6-8 p.m., and Four Unplugged closes the day of music and art with a performance from 8 to 10 p.m.
Admission is $20 for age 13 and up, free for age 12 and under. Lawn chairs and blankets welcome, but please, no ice chests, outside food, no glass, and no pets. The event benefits Maritime Museum Louisiana, formerly known as the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum, whose mission is to bring Louisiana’s maritime history to life. Located on the banks of the scenic Tchefuncte River at 133 Mabel Drive in Madisonville, Maritime Museum Louisiana takes you on a historic journey through Louisiana's unique maritime history through interpretive programs, exhibits and publications. From canoes to pirogues and bateaux to steamboats, Louisiana’s unique maritime history and culture has it all. Regular open hours are Tuesday-Friday, 1-4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
