"Christmas on the Northshore" is a collaborative arts project impacting thousands of members of the Northshore community. Artists include the Big Easy Award-winning St. Timothy Choir, Northshore Orchestra, St. Timothy Youth Chorale and Children's Music Ensembles, and well-loved soloists. The groups present performances at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
The 2018 program will be announced closer to the event. Last year's concerts included the Randol Bass "Gloria," exciting arrangements of treasured Christmas favorites including "The First Noel," and "O, Holy Night" as well as contemporary favorites like "Mary, Did You Know?" and Mark Hayes' "Shepherd's Joy."
Also on the program were Soprano Ariel Assaf singing "Sweet Little Jesus Boy," accompanied by Nancy Ross Assaf, Mezzo-soprano Karista Filopolous singing the Michael W. Smith classic "Welcome to Our World" and tenor Travis Bush singing Stephen Adams' "The Holy City" accompanied by pianist Philip Clark. The audience even gets a chance to sing with the choir on the opening number, "O Come All Ye Faithful."
The concerts are approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Admission is free; however, reservations are strongly recommended. The concerts are a gift to the community with free tickets available by calling the church office at (985) 626-3307.
