Want to know why Van Gogh, Cezanne and Monet's paintings are so famous and well loved? Want to make your artwork sing like theirs? In the St. Tammany Art Association's new, four-week spring class, Color Theory and Design, instructor Rachel Crawford will let you in on one of their secrets...COLOR!
This class will explore the color wheel through mixing colors using the scientific theory of colors. Students will create a color wheel and each week, create a small painting applying color theory mixing using the various color wheel relationships. You will also explore the elements of design when planning out your small paintings.
Color Theory and Design is offered 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Fridays in April--April 9, 16, 23 and 30. Admission is $150 for members of the STAA and $200 for non-members. Sign up and get the supply sheet at https://www.sttammany.art/events/april-color-theory.
