Covington Art Market

St. Tammany Art Association, in partnership with the City of Covington, presents the Covington Art Market, a juried market of arts and crafts held ten times per year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Lee Lane in downtown Covington.

The Saturday markets feature a variety of work by local and regional artists who are members of the St. Tammany Art Association. Works may include jewelry, photography, paintings, woodworking, fiber art, pottery and more.

Art Markets are held on the first Saturday of the month, March to November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Markets are also held during Columbia Street Block Parties on final Fridays, March to October, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on the first Saturday of December from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with St. Tammany’s Holiday Festival of Arts, a Shop Local Artists Week event.

STAA's art markets bring original fine art out into the community while providing exposure and a venue for STAA members to showcase and sell their work. After shopping the market, be sure to visit other downtown locations, including exhibitions at the Art House, the nostalgic array of goods and the historic museum next door at H.J. Smith & Sons General Store, and the Saturday Farmers Market, which takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at 609 N. Columbia Street, just a few blocks away. Then enjoy a bite at one of downtown Covington’s many restaurants. It’s a great way to spend your Saturday!
