The 3rd Annual DTC Film Festival (DownTown Covington) returns to the Southern Hotel in Covington, Louisiana on Friday and Saturday, February 28-29, 2020. Admission is $20 on Friday and $20 on Saturday, or $30 for a weekend pass. Purchase tickets at https://filmfreeway.com/DTCFilmFestival/tickets.
The DTC (Downtown Covington) Film Festival provides a warm and welcoming environment for filmmakers to screen their work and interact with the audience in one of Louisiana's most beautiful hotels. The festival's goal is to spotlight unique stories and award filmmakers for their cinematic achievements.
All films will screen at the luxurious Southern Hotel in the heart of Downtown Covington, located just 45 minutes from New Orleans.The festival features over 25 films--shorts and features, student films, locally-made and foreign films as well as panel discussions and opportunities for filmmakers to interact with judges and the audience at several social events.
Festivities begin Friday at 5:00 p.m. with a Meet-and-Greet at the Southern's Cypress Bar, film screenings beginning at 6:00 p.m, followed by the Opening Night Celebration. Events continue on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with screenings starting at 12:00 noon and running all afternoon, plus more social events, including the Filmmakers' After Party after the last screening.
Awards will be presented for:
- Best Feature Film
- Best Short Film
- Best Documentary Film
- Best Short Documentary Film
- Best Student Film
- Best Foreign Film
The selection process will be conducted by a panel of judges. The Southern Hotel is serving as the festival host and will play no role in the selection process.
