As the name implies, this year’s festival will feature 20 food trucks offering a wide variety of unique food selections, all competing for "Best of the Fest". A great time will be had by all as attendees enjoy dishes such as Lobster Rolls, Crawfish Poutine, Blackened Shrimp Taceaux, Handmade Pretzels, Bang Bang Burger, Crawfish Boil Fries, Lolli Pop Lamb Chop with Couscous and much more. Featured trucks include Creole Tomateaux, Wings 'N Things, Frytastic, The Silver Slipper Casino, Semplicé Pizza, Lillie's Cajun Kitchen, Val’s Snowballs, Tee’s Catering, Fete au Fete, Lisha’s So Damn Good and Joel’s Lobster Rolls.

Christian Serpas and Ghost Town will kick off the musical entertainment at 11 a.m., followed by Tyler Kinchen and the Right Pieces at 1 p.m.  The festival will also feature vendors offering a wide variety of products including jewelry, clothing, candles, sweet treats and more, as well as free face painting.

Food Trucks will submit a dish to be tasted as they compete for the title “Best of the Fest.” The panel of judges includes local cuisine luminaries, including Ross Dover, executive chef at Palmettos on the Bayou in Slidell, Patty Burnaman of The Food Show, Don The Gourmet Neighbor, Lyndsie Cwiklik and Sara Loe of Middendorf’s and Greg Ireton.  The “Best of the Fest” winner will be announced at 12:30. As they enjoy the wide variety of dishes, attendees will also have the opportunity to cast their vote for the “People’s Choice” winner which will be announced at 2:30.

Everyone is encouraged to gather their family and friends, grab their chairs or blankets and enjoy an afternoon of fun and food. In case of inclement weather, the festival moves inside the Harbor Center. No outside food or drinks will be permitted. The Louisiana Food Truck Festival happens twice a year. Mark your calendars now for the fall festival on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

The festival is presented by Silver Slipper Casino and sponsored by “The Food Show" hosted by Tom and Mary Ann Fitzmorris, WGSO-FM Radio, Coastal Environmental Services and others.
