The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's final program on the Northshore this season brings the series full circle with another ballet-derived suite in eight movements. The musical phrases of Aaron Copland’s "Appalachian Spring" effectively paint a story of American pioneers in the nineteenth century. It is a masterpiece that helped define an identifiable and endearing American voice in music. Conducted by the LPO's new Music Director, Matthew Kraemer.
