Abstract contemporary artist Marianne Angeli Rodriguez is opening a new art gallery in one of the oldest and most notable gallery spaces in downtown Covington. Located directly across the street from the historic St. Tammany Art Association (STAA), Marianne Angeli Rodriguez Gallery will have its grand opening from 6 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, April 11th, during the STAA's annual Spring for Art event.
Attendees to the grand opening will get to enjoy a new collection of Rodriguez's original artworks along with thousands of Spring for Art patrons who come out for the live music, art demonstrations, performances, and dining in numerous Spring for Art locations. Columbia Street will be open to pedestrians only, and parking is free and plentiful on surrounding streets and "oxlot" parking lots.
Since Marianne Angeli Rodriguez first opened her modest 370 square foot studio in downtown Covington in 2017, her star has risen such that opening the new, more prominently located 2,000 square foot gallery is the natural continuation of her blossoming career. Rodriguez was recently featured on the cover of Inside Northside magazine, invited to show her art at this year's Jazz Fest, and the grand opening of the new gallery is one week before her art exhibits in Los Angeles.
The Marianne Angeli Rodriguez Gallery grand opening will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 6 pm - 9 pm, at 323 N Columbia St, Covington, LA 70433. Both the grand opening and the Spring for Art event are free to attend.
