More than 15 community leaders will partner with top local restaurants to compete for the title of Judge’s Choice, People’s Choice and Most Money Raised for Hope House Children's Advocacy Center at the 9th annual “Men Who Cook,” returning this year as a month-long event at area restaurants and a gala finale atop the St. Tammany Parish Justice Center parking garage on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Each cook/restaurant team will prepare tastings of a favorite menu item for attendees to sample at the big event, which includes complimentary wine and beer, the opportunity to win extraordinary prizes, and entertainment by Tyler Kinchen & The Right Pieces.
Admission to the gala is $70 per person or $125 per couple. Tickets on sale at https://support.cachopehouse.org/event/2021-men-who-cook-tickets/e345863. Event is rain or shine.
In addition, teams will raise money for Hope House by offering "dine-in deals" at participating restaurants in the month leading up to the event (Oct. 1 - Nov. 6). By donating on site when you dine at a participating restaurant, you'll also unlock special offers.
To maximize the impact of your donation to Hope House, the In Jesus’ Name Foundation will match all Men Who Cook donations up to $50K! Note: Hope House must first raise $50K to qualify for the matching contribution.
Patrons will also be able to contribute toward their favorite team online. The team with the highest fundraising total will win the award for "Most Money Raised for Hope House."
This year's participants and their restaurants will be announced as the event nears.
About Children’s Advocacy Center - Hope House
The Children’s Advocacy Center—Hope House is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse in our communities. Hope House provides services to children and families in both St. Tammany and Washington Parishes. It is the only local agency that provides forensic interviews for children when allegations of abuse arise. It is not affiliated with any other agency, although it works collaboratively with law enforcement, the D.A.’s office, and the Dept. of Child and Family Services to facilitate communication so that children are protected and justice is served.
