Ever wondered what the Northlake Nature Center would be like at night? What would you hear, what would you see, what would you smell? Take a quiet walk under the full moon and find out! Bring your own flashlight and enjoy special treats by Honey’s Snoball Shack of Abita!

The "Moonlight Hike and Snow and Ice" is a recurring event held during the heat of summer. During fall and winter, the nighttime hike swaps snowballs for a marshmallow roast.
The August event is Friday, August 16 with the hike departing at 7:35 PM. The next hike will be on September 13, departing at 7:05 PM.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Admission is $5 for non-members and free for members. Call (985) 626-1238 or email Rue@northlakenature.org.

The Northlake Nature Center (NNC) is a non-profit organization provides nature related educational programs and manages a 400-acre Nature Preserve east of Mandeville, LA providing a venue of community service opportunities. The site offers over eight miles of hiking and biking trails and a canoe launch free for public use open from dawn to dusk. Info on supporting NNC may be found at NorthlakeNature.org/membership.
