Come to beautiful Abita Springs this September 4 and 5, 2021--Labor Day weekend-- for the inaugural Moonshadow Festival, a music, wellness and art festival taking place at Abita Springs Be & Be, located at 75368 Moonshadow Ln, Abita Springs. Tickets are now on sale.

Wellness is a key focus of the festival, with programming to promote a healthy wellbeing, including cacao ceremonies, propagation workshops, yoga classes, motivational seminars and other activities. The festival is also partnering with independent artists for installations, projection mapping performances and live painting.

A concert stage will feature performances by New Orleans-based artists Handmade Moments, Mahmoud Chouki, Ray Wimley, Silk & Mortar, Anna Moss & The Nightshades, Santa Barbara Streisand Band, Sara Kirby, Brittany Purdy, Nobody & Nothing, Zoomst and Sansho. Music starts at 12 p.m. Saturday and ends around 9 p.m. Sunday. A complete schedule will be announced as the event nears.

A curated bazaar market and specialized food vendors will nourish guests with classic New Orleans dishes. No alcohol will be sold; however, feel free to bring your own. Among the vendors scheduled to appear are Clesi's Seafood Restaurant, Pixie Dust Glitter, Freebird Revolution, Luxpunk and Bone Crone, with more added leading up to the festival.

Tier one general admission tickets are $85, which includes full festival access and one camping & car pass. Guests also have the option of buying day passes for $45 each, or renting an RV (2 days + 1 night) for $1,200, which includes four admission tickets.

Whether visiting for the day or staying overnight, guests will revel in the beauty of Abita Springs Be & Be, a magical 88-acre respite equipped with two cabins, two labyrinths, two lakes, a watsu pool, a sauna and a non-denominational temple, to name a few amenities. Portable grills are welcome, but no open fires are permitted.

Abita Springs Be & Be's RVs sleep up to 7 people comfortably. Each RV is slightly different, but you can expect a main bedroom that has a foam mattress. Some have 2 bunk beds in the back of the camper, others have fold out couches that act as a bed. Amenities may include a flat screen TV, outdoor kitchen, indoor kitchen equipped with dishes, cookware and coffeemaker; towels, shower, A/C and folding chairs. The Moonshadow Festival is presented in partnership with The Spotted Cat, NOLA Station, Lakeside Photoworks, Reginelli's Pizzeria, Molly's at the Market, Blue 60 and Champion Graphics, among others.
The festival is produced by A. Glantz, a nonprofit organization helping the artistic community thrive in the Greater New Orleans area, serving local musicians, production companies, independent venues and community vendors by helping the industry’s wellbeing and economic welfare one event and program at a time.
