Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day, join STAA for a night of wine and pottery!
The St. Tammany Art Association presents single session, B.Y.O.W. ceramics classes on Friday nights in February! Bring your friends, sip some wine and create your very own mug on February 3rd, 10th or 17th.
Students will learn the basics of either pottery wheel or hand-building with clay. Instructor Janie Dick will teach students how to work with clay to hand build your very own mug. Students will work with stamps and tools to add texture to their pieces, add attachments and use under-glazes to add color. Pieces are then fired, and students receive an email when mugs are ready to be picked up.
Admission for each session is $80, which includes all supplies. Select your preferred date and technique when you sign up at https://www.sttammany.art/mmjanuary.
All ages welcome; beginner hand-builders welcome, but basic throwing knowledge required for pottery wheel students. See photos from past classes and learn more about Janie Dick at the link above.
