The 11th Annual Northshore Half Marathon & 10 Miler returns to Louisiana's Northshore, St. Tammany Parish on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
This event features idyllic Louisiana scenery, starting and finishing under the mammoth moss covered oaks of Fontainebleau State Park, winding through spectator-lined historic homes of Old Mandeville, along Lakeshore Drive and down the Tammany Trace as the sun rises over the crowd of runners.
Due to COVID-19, this year’s Northshore Half Marathon + 10 miler, will be a 10K and 5K. The NHM team has worked closely with park officials on the race plan for socially distanced racing that complies with safety standards and implements best practices for the industry.
The race starts at 8 am. Fees to participate are $30 for the 5K, $40 for 10K, and $30 for virtual runners. Participants get an event shirt, race bib, Northshore 5K/10K face mask, and the free Abita Post Race Party with beer, food and live music. Race packets can be mailed or picked up on Saturday, October 10th; times and location to be determined.

After months of sweltering heat and training in the South, temperatures typically start to cool around the time of the Northshore Half, with a 57-degree average start time temperature.
This is a walker-friendly course with a ~18/min per mile pace cut off time. Finish line will stay open for 4 hours. A SAG wagon will be following the course at that pace.
