PIG Invitational Charity, Inc. presents its 41st annual fundraising golf tournament to benefit Northshore charities! In its history of hosting this tournament, the PIG (Partners In Giving) has donated over $750,000 to local charities. The efforts of the 2021 tournament are more important than ever, given the impact COVID and Hurricane Ida have had on the Northshore community and the additional demands on local charitable organizations to assist families in need.
The tournament will be held November 5, 2021 at Beau Chene Country Club, 602 N. Beau Chene Dr., Mandeville, and starts with registration at 10:00 a.m. and play at 11:15 a.m. Aa post-round awards party with food and an open bar follows showcases a silent auction and live music. Player fees, party and raffle tickets can be purchased online at www.pigcharity.org. Proceeds benefit various Northshore charities.
The PIG Invitational Charity, Inc. is a non-profit charity whose sole purpose is to raise funds to aid St. Tammany Parish organizations that care for needy children and seniors. The late Ford Waters started the tournament in 1980 when he invited some of his friends to play golf followed by a neighborhood party and pig roast. The first charitable contribution was made in 1981 and to date, The PIG has contributed over a half of a million dollars to such charities as: Fairhaven Childrens Home, VAAN, SCAP, Samaritan Center, Childrens Advocacy Center, Kids in Crisis, Upward Community Services, K-Bar-B Youth Ranch and others.
