St. Tammany's artsy-cool town hosts a free, monthly art walk in the historic St. John District on every second Saturday, year-round, from 6pm to 9pm. In April and October, enjoy Spring for Art and Fall for Art street festivals.
Make the evening a feast for the senses: see original fine art on display and for sale at galleries and shops in the downtown area, and then check out several great dining options throughout the town. The St. Tammany Art Association's "Art House," located at 320 N. Columbia Street, often holds opening receptions for exhibitions of curated and juried shows as well as members' work. See separate event listings for exhibition details.
Admission to galleries is free and open to the public. For more information about open galleries and shops, contact the City of Covington at www.covla.com.
