The Slidell Heritage Festival returns this summer to Heritage Park as a celebration of America's birthday with an evening of live music, great food and fireworks on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and live music by Witness begins at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be on site, and beverages will be available for purchase. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Admission is free, and sponsors of the event can enjoy a VIP seating area.
While we'll all miss the children's village, arts and crafts booths and specialty vendors, festival organizers look forward to their return for the 2022 festival.
Though the event is free, guests are encouraged to donate money, as the non-profit event benefits local charities. Presented by the Rotary Clubs of Slidell, in conjunction with the City of Slidell, the festival was established as a fundraising benefit, and over the last 20 years, more than $900,000 has been raised for the community. This year's recipients will be the Slidell Police Association, Community Christian Concern (food bank, thrift store and transitional housing services), the Good Samaritan Ministry, the Slidell Church Basketball League and the Boy Scouts of America, Cypress District.
