The St. Tammany Art Association and Covington businesses present Spring for Art, returning this year on Saturday, April 8, 6-9 p.m. Spring for Art is a free festival celebrating music, art and performing arts held in the streets of the city’s historic downtown district. Produced by St. Tammany Art Association, the annual event draws thousands of patrons who come out to enjoy the live music, art in a variety of media, student art show, performances and dining in numerous participating locations.
The event will feature a juried art market, including a variety of work from local and regional artists, including jewelry, photography, paintings, woodworking, fiber art, pottery and more. The featured exhibition at STAA and all gallery openings are free and open to the public.
Street parking and in "oxlots" (public parking lots) are all free.
