The St. Tammany Crab Festival returns to the scenic shore of Bayou Bonfouca in Slidell for three big days of music, food and festival fun, September 20, 21 and 22, 2019. The festival opens at 5:00 p.m. Friday and closes at 11:30 p.m., and runs 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
The Crab Festival is fun for the whole family, celebrating Louisiana’s succulent crabs and other aquatic delicacies reeled in from the bayous and the Gulf, and featuring some of greatest entertainers In Southeast Louisiana. Vintage car enthusiasts will marvel over the many classic cars, trucks, rat rods, motorcycles and other unique vehicles in the 5th Annual Mr. Crab’s Car Show. Also returning is Captain Dave of Cat’s Meow Fishing Charters, who will take passengers aboard his boat for a scenic tour of Bayou Bonfouca.
And, last but not least, it is no longer necessary to pay admission to the full festival to ride the carnival rides! Carnival entrace area is on Fremaux St. before the park entrance.
Adults' single-day festival admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the gate. Three-day Festival Passes are $40 available online in advance only (no gate sales). Children under 12 are admitted free. Purchase advance tickets at StTammanyCrabFestival.com.
Friday Sep 20: Hosted by Paul Crosby. formerly of Saliva and featuring Green Gasoline (winner of 2018 Crab Fest Battle of The Bands), Adam Pearce (finalist on The Voice, Season 13), and Platinum Album-selling bands Drowning Pool and Lit.
Saturday, Sep 21: Featuring Fremaux Ave Band, Ronnie Bell & Sunshine Anderson followed by Hot Boy Ronald, DJ Mannie Fresh with Grammy Award-winning Juvenile closing out the night.
Sunday, Sep 22: The first-rate lineup for the final day of the festival includes Witness, Box Office Giants, Partners-n-Crime, Sir Charles, Pokey Bear and Platinum Album-selling artist, Jon B.
Personal chairs and umbrellas are welcome, but leave the coolers at picnics at home: no outside food or drink will be permitted. Parking is free, but space is limited. Shuttle service may be available; follow the event on Facebook for up-to-date information on all activities.
The St. Tammany Crab Festival was established in 2013 to promote awareness of the culinary value of Louisiana crabs and bring top-notch entertainment and other attractions to the Northshore. The event offers local businesses and nonprofit organizations opportunities to participate and market their products or services to a wide number of people, in addition to promoting St.Tammany Parish.
